The Firm - A History of Fighting for Unions
Our firm is a leading labor and employment law firm. Phillips, Richard & Rind, P.A. was formed from two predecessor law firms, both of which dedicated their practices to labor and employment law. The first predecessor firm, formerly known as Kaplan & Bloom, P.A. and of which Kathleen Phillips was a partner, provided labor, union-side, and employment law services for over thirty years in South Florida. Ms. Phillips has been practicing law for approximately 30 years and is now one of the lead shareholders for the current firm. The other predecessor firm, headed by Mark Richard, had been primarily practicing employment law and labor law for over 25 years. The personnel and staff of the two firms merged in June 1998 to form the current law firm of Phillips, Richard & Rind, P.A. Together, Ms. Phillips and Mr. Richard have been practicing labor, employment, and ERISA law for decades. Our firm currently represents over 50 unions throughout Florida and across the country.
