Holly E. Oliva-Van Horsten is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and for the Southern District of Florida.  She is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law and was initially certified as such in 2016.  Since her admission to the Florida Bar in 2008, Ms. Oliva-Van Horsten has gained experience in both litigation and transactional matters and has practiced Labor and Employment Law for over a decade.  She has also worked inside an international labor union as Associate General Counsel and General Counsel for the union.

Ms. Oliva-Van Horsten obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (Dean’s List). She then attended Seattle University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate, with honors, in June of 2008.  While attending Seattle University, Ms. Van Horsten was a member and associate editor of the Law Review and a two-time recipient of the “End of the Year” Academic Scholarship – after both her First and Second Year of Law School – for outstanding academic performance. Ms. Van Horsten has also been certified as a Registered Parliamentarian by the National Association of Parliamentarians® for having met the organization’s requirements for knowledge of the parliamentary procedure.
