Libby Herrera-Navarrete represents unions in labor and employment matters. Previously a partner with Phillips, Richard, Rind, & Navarrete, P.A., she is now Of Counsel to Phillips, Richard & Rind, P.A.
Prior to joining Phillips, Richard & Rind, P.A., Libby was a partner with Chonin, Sher and Navarrete, P.A. from 1992-1998. During these six years Libby represented individual plaintiffs in federal court in almost every facet of employment law, including Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and whistleblower actions. Furthermore, she has handled over 200 cases concerning employment discrimination and/or sexual harassment. She also was lead counsel on a personal injury suit which resulted in a million dollar award.
Libby is active in promoting labor law and workers rights. She consistently appears in the media regarding labor and other issues. Libby handles multiple arbitrations each year on behalf of the firm’s union clients. In addition, she frequently speaks at workshops for union members on the issues of employment discrimination and sexual harassment, as well as on arbitrating grievances.
Libby is also a past President (2003-2005) and Board Member (2001-2007) of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.
